the reason for starting it
As someone who has worked in the nonprofit and social impact space for a considerable time, I know the importance of giving back to the community. That's why I am excited to announce the rebrand of Goodbets Press to The Punch Up, which will provide readers with valuable information on improving their nonprofit programs and funding.
Before I left to work on Boost, a venture-backed fintech company, I wanted to ensure that I continued to add value to nonprofits without providing direct support. Now that I have transitioned from the space, I want to continue to give back. I care deeply about education and the social impact space, and plan to return to it long after I'm done with other ventures.
The Punch Up is a new brand and a reframe of Goodbets Press, which previously provided people with information about nonprofit jobs and exciting things happening in social impact. The new focus will be on how-to articles, advice for business-minded nonprofit leaders, relevant articles, and great job opportunities. You’ll get two weekly editions on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so subscribe and share if this content interests you.
Lastly, I am open to collaborating, chatting, and supporting fundraising. While I am not doing this formally right now, I am always happy to jump on a call and chat with folks for 20 minutes about any challenges you may be facing, resources, or recommendations to my network.
